The rules are the product. Here is what that means in practice.
You like someone and they like you back. That opens one of your three slots. If either of you is already full, the mutual like waits until a slot frees up.
So you talk to people you might actually meet. No stacking chats. Book a meetup or let a match expire, then a slot opens.
If you have not agreed on a public time and place, the match expires and the thread closes. Both of you get the slot back.
One person proposes a time and a public place. The other accepts. The clock stops and the match is booked. A private address is not a valid plan.
Chat is open while the match is active — to pick a time and place. No phone numbers or socials in chat. After three dates, if you both still like each other, you share one contact and we close that thread.
Adults 18 and older. This version matches men and women with each other. That is one feed, not a statement against anyone else. You see people in your city first, then your county, then anyone within about a five-hour drive.
In the United States. At signup you choose state, county, city, and ZIP. Discover starts in your city, then your county, then nearby places you could drive to in about five hours.
Yes. Your account, Discover, likes, and matches are free.
Propose one yourself. If nobody books within 5 days, it expires. You can unmatch to free the slot — unless a date is already booked. Then cancel the meetup first.
A booked date is a promise. Cancel at least 12 hours ahead or it counts as a no-show. After the meetup time, both people check in. If you admit you missed it, or the other person reports a no-show and you do not check in within 48 hours, you get a strike. One strike: 7 days with 2 slots. Two: 14 days with 1 slot. Three: likes paused for 14 days. We do not punish a single “didn’t happen” click — both of you have to be heard.
If you both check in as met, you each say whether you still like each other. Date 2 and date 3 only happen if both of you still do. After the third date, if you both still like each other, you each share a phone number or a social account — they only see yours when they share too. Then we close that chat and free the slot. If either of you is done at any step, it ends with no contact.
Unmatch ends this chat and frees the slot. They can still show in Discover. Block does that too, then hides them until you unblock. If a date is booked, blocking cancels it. Unblock only lets them show in Discover again — it does not reopen a chat or date.
MeetMeFirst does not go on the date with you. Meet in public, tell someone you trust, and leave if you feel off. You can skip, unmatch, block, or report from the product.
